HISTORY
1985, ESTABLISHMENT Our company was established in 1985, in Mecidiyeköy, Istanbul, as a sole proprietorship with the title of "Burak Ticaret Ali Ekrem Tanyolaç" to supply wholesale hardware and stationery stores.
1991, FURNITURE WHEELS...
That year, with the Furniture Wheels added to our product portfolio, we started to work with Furniture Accessories Dealers, which is still our most important customer group, throughout the country. In addition, our workplace was moved to Çağlayan, which was the most important center of Furniture Accessories in those years.
1996, FAIR EXPERIENCES...
The 90s are the golden age of domestic fairs. The fairs, where all kinds of innovations and imported products in the hardware and furniture sub-industry were exhibited, attracted great attention. Fairs were the most important means of promotion in those days when today's communication and access to information were limited. Although we are a vendor company, the Hardware-Hardware and Tuyap Intermob fairs, which we attend uninterruptedly, have made very important contributions to the development and motivation of our company.
2000, "BURAK TEKER"...
In 1998, we moved from Çağlayan to a store in Ümraniye Çakmak Tepeüstü, which is quite large and spacious for us. We have become a reliable and well-known name throughout Turkey with the main dealerships of various wheel companies in this 200 m2 area. However, we did not have a well-known brand even though we have been doing this job for almost 10 years. Today's name "BurakTeker" was given to us by our shop assistants at Furniture Accessories.
2002, PRODUCTION...
We anticipated that we would not be able to continue our development as a seller company in our expanding market with the addition of Construction Markets, Furniture Factories and Corporate companies to our customer portfolio. We started production in certain main items in order to offer the products we sell to our customers more economically, on time and with better quality. As a result of natural processes such as mold and machinery investments and an increase in the number of personnel, we continued our activities in 1200 m2 areas first in IMES and then in DES Industrial Site. In 2007, in order to produce our own designs quickly in line with the needs of the sector, we established a molding room and started to produce our own unique designs in line with the technical, aesthetic and innovation needs of the sector. Today, we have nearly 30 Industrial Property Rights registered in the Turkish Patent Institute, consisting of Patent, FM, and Industrial Designs.
2011, EXPORT...
In 2011, with the participation of Germany Interzum fair, we started export activities. Later, we participated in the same fair again in 2013, 2017 and 2019. Today, we export to 15 countries, mostly to the European market.
2017, BURAK TEKER A.S.
Every step we took or will take in order to have a say in the developing Turkish market and the global arena over time and to announce our brand could be caught in the bureaucratic obstacles of being a sole proprietorship. In addition, our company was registered as a Joint Stock Company in 2017 as a result of the growing institutional needs.
2020, THE YOUNGEST COMPANY IN PRODUCTION...
In Çağlayan: The journey, which started with a workplace of 5 m2, continues today in three separate facilities in a total closed area of 4.000 m2. As the youngest company producing in this sector, in a time that can be considered a short time for a company, as a result of the trust, value and loyalty of our customers, business partners and employees, the point we have reached today is not only reminding us of a short history of the past, but also humanitarian strengthens our belief that we are on the right track as a modern company that respects values and labor.
